DSE Analyst ("we", "the site") at dseanalyst.com provides educational analysis of public Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) data. This policy explains what data the website handles and how. It covers the website only; the DSE Analyst Android app has its own policy.
What we collect
- If you sign in with Google (optional): we receive your basic Google profile (name, email, profile photo, and a Google account ID) via Firebase Authentication, solely to give you an account. Signing in is entirely optional — the site works without it.
- Your watchlist and portfolio: if signed in, the tickers, quantities and buy prices you enter are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) under your account so they sync across your devices. This data is private to your account and is not sold or shared.
- If you are not signed in: we do not create an account or store personal data about you on our servers. Recently-viewed tickers are kept only in your own browser.
Market data
The site displays public DSE market data (prices, end-of-day analysis, fundamentals). Fetching this data contains no personal information about you.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show advertisements on content pages. In connection with this:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
- Where required (for example, visitors in the EEA / UK), we ask for consent before serving personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time from the consent banner.
We do not place ads on the portfolio, watchlist, or account pages. Ad content is served by Google and its partners; we do not control which specific ads appear, though we filter out categories we consider inappropriate for an educational finance audience.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not use your portfolio or watchlist for advertising.
- We do not provide personalized investment advice.
Deleting your data
You can remove watchlist and portfolio entries at any time while signed in. To delete your account data entirely, contact us at the address below.
Children
The site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date above will change accordingly.
